Yes, you need to define new thermistor
Hi Grykom, I got my Triangle labs V6 hotend and want to change the hotend as soon as possible. I have watched a lot of videos on how to install it and what I should pay attention to. Mainly it boils down to making sure that you tight the nozzle so it touches the heartbreak and after it is hot tighten it once again so there is no gap where the filament can stick to and cause clogs. Do you have any tips for me on how to install? Did you cut the existing thermistor and heater wires and solder it or did you fully replace the existing ones and connected the new ones to the mainboard?
Hi Fernando, the installation method you wrote is very good :)
If I remember correctly, I replaced the cables with new ones
if you have additional questions, feel free to write, but remember that the whole operation is quite easy and you will surely succeed :)
Hi GRYKOM, Thank you again for the quick response! Did you have to change anything in the Marlin firmware? According to some sites you need to change it. Also because it is an exact E3D V6 clone I looked at the E3D site and they also tell you always need to change the Marlin firmware. These 3 parts: #define TEMP_SENSOR_0 5 #define HEATER_0_MAXTEMP #define HEATER_0_MINTEMP
